Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Day Shift)

Job Summary

• Deliver superior quality nursing care following established care plans.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning starting from admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
• Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience (highly desired).
• Certifications:

  • BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only).
• Skills: Competency in nursing assessments, patient education, documentation, supervision, and teamwork.
• Safety Focus: Commitment to patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, infection control, and hazard reporting.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
