Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN Day Shift

Job Summary

• Deliver superior quality nursing care following established care plans.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
• Develop individualized patient care plans and identify teaching needs.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission.
• Communicate patient status changes to care team members.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and team building.
• Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.

Required Skills and Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only).
• Critical Care Experience: Required
• Minimum bedside clinical experience: 2 years (highly desired)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Additional Notes

• Emphasis on patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard awareness.
• Expected to follow hospital standards for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
• Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of all nursing activities.
• Must use a positive and encouraging approach to achieve patient goals and quality outcomes.

Experience Requirements

• Critical Care Experience: Required (minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience highly desired)
• Prior travel experience: Not specified / not required
