Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Job Summary

• Provide high-quality nursing care by following individualized nursing care plans.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning starting from admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Manage supplies and equipment needs to support patient care.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.

Work Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Night shift

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS Certification (required before first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience (post-graduate)
• Experience in Stepdown, ICU, or LTAC settings

Additional Notes

• Emphasis on patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling and infection control.
• Must adhere to hospital standards for appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience.
