Job Title: Level 2 RN ICU Stepdown

Job Description

• Provide competent care based on established standards through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
• Expanded role may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
• Must have experience in stepdown/PCU settings.
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Experience with neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3% NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, and seizure management.

Requirements

• RN License (New York state only)
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• Telemetry experience
• Stepdown/PCU experience
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• ACLS preferred
• NIHSS preferred

Schedule

• Rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night)
• Includes weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge nurse duties per unit
