Schedule

• 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
• On call/callback/holiday coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

• Technician License (any Tech License accepted in the state of NY)
• 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology (highest required years of experience)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• VIR Certification (preferred but also listed as required in additional info)

Responsibilities

• Select exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce diagnostic quality radiologic images
• Prepare and instruct patients for examinations and assist Radiologist during procedures
• Operate all equipment competently and report malfunctions
• Complete assigned procedures timely and assist with room turnover and department needs
• Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only
• Provide healthcare services competently to all age groups
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with patients of all ages
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS proficiently
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and proper use of passwords and patient care modules
• Handle technical telephone inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel with good phone etiquette
