Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitor patient responses and modify treatments as needed in collaboration with the OT.
• Participate in team processes, consultations, and collaborations with staff.
• Complete documentation including progress and daily notes within required timeframes.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
• Maintain a customer service attitude toward patients, visitors, and staff.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and isolation treatment guidelines.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and document implementation.
• Evaluate patients within the scope of OTA practice and collaborate with OT on all areas.
• Perform treatment procedures and utilize appropriate treatment techniques based on treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Maintain flexible scheduling and communicate changes promptly.
• Attend and contribute to team conferences and discharge planning.
• Ensure proper equipment issuance and documentation for patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
