Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitor patient responses and modify treatments as needed in collaboration with the OT.
• Participate in team processes, consultations, and collaborations with staff.
• Complete documentation including progress and daily notes within required timeframes.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and isolation guidelines.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and document implementation.
• Evaluate patients in areas appropriate for an OTA as specified by AOTA role delineation.
• Perform treatment procedures and collaborate with OTR and team members on advanced treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling and attend team conferences.
• Follow discharge planning policies and ensure proper equipment issuance and documentation.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
• Display a customer service attitude toward patients, visitors, and staff.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in the state of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certification as an OTA.
