• Weekends, holidays, on-call/callback as needed
• Call 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends per month

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist (RT) in New York State
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiologic Technology
• Neurosurgery/Neuroscience experience required
• AART certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Interventional Radiology (VIR) experience is a plus

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and producing diagnostic quality radiologic images
• Administer oral contrast as needed per exam
• Prepare and instruct patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic exams and assist Radiologists during procedures
• Operate all x-ray equipment, CR and DR systems proficiently
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly
• Complete assigned procedures efficiently and assist with department tasks during downtime
• Maintain medication security and patient confidentiality
• Demonstrate competency in healthcare services and interpersonal relationships across all age groups
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities
• Handle technical telephone inquiries professionally
