Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (Outpatient)

Job Description

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities.
• Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
• Perform professional duties related to patient care, therapy service development, and program delivery.
• Maintain compliance with organizational mission, core values, and code of conduct, including confidentiality.
• Promote patient and employee safety, focusing on safe patient handling, materials handling, infectious diseases, slips/trips/falls, and work environment.
• Follow clinic guidelines for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
• Possess necessary skills and competencies to perform job functions according to population served.
• Complete comprehensive patient evaluations and develop treatment plans aimed at discharge within an established length of stay.
• Document medical records clearly, accurately, and timely, including goal writing, quality assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision, learning objectives, and evaluations.
• Create and pursue individualized professional development plans.
• Adhere to state practice acts, maintain licensure, complete continuing education, and uphold ethical standards.
• Engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient clinical experience
• CPR Certification
• Active and applicable Physical Therapist license for the state of work

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous successful assignment with the agency is highly desired
• Previous successful assignment with the organization is a plus
