Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary

Provide quality respiratory care and patient transport within the scope of your professional license and with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, educating patients, performing physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, operating ventilatory equipment, suctioning, monitoring oxygenation and ventilation, performing chest physiotherapy, and assisting with respiratory-related procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support and oxygen therapy.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal).
• Conduct oximetry, capnography, and pulmonary function tests.
• Perform 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Assist with bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, tracheostomy care, and arterial puncture.
• Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and related equipment.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Record and communicate patient treatment and response information accurately.
• Facilitate equipment maintenance and repair as needed.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.
