Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Job Summary

• Provide high-quality nursing care by following individualized nursing care plans.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning starting from admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to hospital safety policies.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education.
• Contribute positively to team building and a supportive work environment.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks.

Work Schedule

• Night shift.
• Options for 36 or 48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift.
• Minimum 2 years of bedside critical care clinical experience.

Additional Information

• Responsible for supervising LPNs, CNAs, and orientees.
• Emphasis on patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling and infection control.
• Expected to prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.
