Job Opportunity: House Supervisor (Night)
Job Summary
- Maintain delivery of quality nursing care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed.
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
- Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
- Communicate patient status changes to care providers to support continuity of care and patient safety.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities following orientation.
- Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning and team building.
- Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and supplies.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift for CIRH)
- Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience
- PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience required
- Charge Nurse experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with the hiring organization is highly desired
