Job Title

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and interventions such as electrocardiograms in a clinical setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure all equipment and instrumentation are functioning properly.
• Monitor procedure read-outs or recordings and assist with lab analysis and data interpretation.
• Assist physicians with pacing implementation and installation of permanent cardiac devices.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, in-room staff, charge nurses, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth procedure flow and timely patient care.
• Assist at the sterile field prepping patients and equipment for studies and ablations as the circulator.
• Maintain fluids for ablation catheters and assist with ablator.
• Provide patient-focused care during studies and ablations, assist anesthesia, document procedures, and provide backup pacing during implants.
• Document procedures primarily using Epic.
• Proficient in moderate sedation.

Typical Procedures

• RF ablations (Cryo ablations) for Atrial Fibrillation/Flutter, Atrial Tachycardia, AVNRT, WPW, and other ANRT ablations.
• Use of mapping systems such as Biosense Webster Carto, Abbott Ensite/Precision, Rhythmia.
• Device implants including traditional pacemakers (single, dual, CSP, BiV), ICDs, Subcutaneous ICD, Leadless pacemakers, Loop recorders, and LAAC devices (Watchman, Amulet).
• Low-risk laser procedures.

Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour shifts, primarily days with some late nights (evenings), holidays, and on-call as needed.
• No weekends required at this time.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrophysiology nursing.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in moderate sedation.
• Experience with Epic documentation system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience.
• Experience with GE MacLab & CardioLab systems.
