Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist

Job Description

  • Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction.
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
  • Design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities.
  • Educate patients, families, students, and coworkers.
  • Perform professional duties related to patient care, therapy service development, and program delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational code of conduct, confidentiality, and professional standards.
  • Promote patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, materials handling, infectious disease precautions, and workplace safety.
  • Complete comprehensive patient evaluations and develop treatment goals focused on discharge within an established length of stay.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address discharge barriers, including equipment trials, patient/family training, and planning for continuing services.
  • Manage caseload flexibly, including coverage and communication of care plans.
  • Document medical records clearly, accurately, and timely, including daily notes, goal writing, quality assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry.
  • Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.
  • Participate in student programs by providing supervision, learning objectives, and evaluations.
  • Develop and pursue individualized professional development plans.
  • Engage in patient and professional advocacy activities.
  • Adhere to state practice acts, maintain licensure, and complete continuing education.
  • Support organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Hours

  • Approximately 8-24 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Arizona
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
  • Physical Therapist experience within the last year

Additional Information

  • Must demonstrate professional ethics and accountability.
  • Must uphold safety standards and organizational core values.
  • Flexibility in caseload management and interdisciplinary collaboration is essential.
