Occupational Therapist

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Plan, organize, develop, administer, direct, and supervise occupational therapy treatment in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Assess patient’s level of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment recommendations.
• Complete all required documentation, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge plans.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), OT and COTA students, and assist with new staff orientation.
• Promote patient and employee safety, focusing on safe patient handling, infectious disease precautions, and workplace safety.
• Maintain a customer service attitude toward patients, visitors, and staff.
• Collaborate with team members to provide quality patient care and participate in team conferences.
• Demonstrate good safety techniques and observe patient confidentiality.
• Manage time effectively and prioritize duties.

Schedule

• 3 days per week
• Duration: 2 weeks within the 13-week contract period

Required Qualifications

• Valid, current State Occupational Therapist license
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
