Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Job Summary

This position involves providing direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develop individualized care plans, participate in rehabilitation programs, initiate discharge planning, and provide patient and family education. The role requires effective communication with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety. The nurse will also provide supervision and training to ancillary nursing personnel and may assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation.

Work Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour shifts (3 12s)
• Every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Contribute positively to unit teamwork and efficiency.
• Manage supplies and equipment needs.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
• May assume charge nurse duties after orientation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience.
• ICU experience within the last year.

• Approximately 13 weeks
