Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (IR) – 23 Hour Care, Blocked Weeknights

Job Overview

• Fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a Level 1 Trauma center.
• Care for inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Responsible for pre-procedural preparation, post-procedural recovery, and overnight observation care for IR patients.
• Care for patients boarding overnight pre- or post-procedure.
• Opportunity to work in Diagnostic Imaging including CT scans, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray, and ultrasound.
• Preferred experience with GI post-procedural care, Medical/Surgical, and telemetry.
• Good communication, critical thinking, teamwork, enthusiasm, flexibility, and organization are essential.

Schedule

• 40 or 48 hours per week.
• Blocked weeknights, no weekends, no call.
• 48-hour shift: 7 PM – 7 AM.
• 40-hour shift: 9 PM – 7 AM.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license (New York only).
• BLS (American Heart Association).
• ACLS (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 2 years of Registered IR Nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience.
• Telemetry experience required.

Additional Information

• No prior IR experience required despite the stated experience requirement.
