Registered Nurse - Orthopedic/Trauma

Job Details

• Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, day/evening/night shifts
• Shifts: Rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, on-call, floating, callback, and charge per unit needs
• Unit Focus: Orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses
• Work Environment: Level 1 trauma facility preferred; part of a team recognized for research and innovation with opportunities for education and professional growth

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York only
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience
• Skills:

  • Telemetry experience required
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• Other: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to work as a team player

Additional Information

• Must be able to work rotating shifts and be flexible with floating, weekends, holidays, on-call, and charge responsibilities as needed
