Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

• Demonstrate behaviors and attitudes consistent with organizational mission and core values.
• Maintain compliance with confidentiality and professional codes of conduct.
• Promote patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, infectious disease precautions, and workplace hazard awareness.
• Complete comprehensive patient evaluations and develop treatment plans focused on patient progress and discharge.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trials and patient/family training.
• Manage caseload flexibly, including individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions.
• Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation in compliance with regulations and hospital policies.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision and evaluations.
• Engage in professional development and advocacy activities.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure and continuing education.
• Support organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience.
• Previous experience with ventilator and tracheostomy patients is required.
