• Shift: 7 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Job Description

• Patient Care:

  • Medical patients with Heparin drips
  • Managing diabetic patients, wounds, COPD, pneumonia, and patients with fistulas needing dialysis (dialysis not performed by Med/Surg nurses)
  • Surgical patients including colectomies, orthopedic cases, podiatry, GYN, and general surgery
  • Pediatric patients

• Floating Requirements: Candidate may be asked to float to other units to assist with IVs or other patient care needs.

• Patient Ratios: 1:6

• Number of Beds in Unit: 26 medical beds and 20 surgical beds

• Monthly Department Volume: 582 patient days

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
• Experience working with pediatric patients

• Travel Requirements: Candidates must be greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted.
• Documentation: Travelers must attach required licenses and certifications or will be rejected.
