Travel Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (Chemistry)
Atlanta, GA
13-Week Contract | Start Date: 04/20/2026
Schedule:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (varies)
8-hour day shifts | 40 hours per week
No on-call
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist with a strong background in Chemistry to join a high-volume hospital laboratory. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy across complex specimens and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform chemistry testing and analysis in a busy hospital lab
- Accurately perform differentials, including neonatal specimens
- Handle complex samples (e.g., turbid specimens, platelet clumps, abnormal cell findings)
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation including Sysmex and CellaVision
- Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with lab team to support timely and accurate results
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist
- Strong experience in Chemistry required
- Experience in a large hospital setting (600+ beds) strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Sysmex and CellaVision systems required
- Must be able to work independently in a high-volume environment
Certifications:
- ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification required
Additional Details:
- Only Medical Technologists / Medical Laboratory Scientists will be considered (MLTs not accepted)
- Experience with neonatal populations and complex lab samples highly preferred
