Travel PACU RN – Nights
Bronx, NY
Start Date: 04/15/2026
Duration: 11 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 8-Hour Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 per week
Setting: Acute Care

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced PACU RN to support a high-acuity recovery unit in an acute care hospital. This role includes caring for post-anesthesia patients as well as ICU-level patients boarding in PACU, requiring strong critical care skills and adaptability.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring
  • Manage higher acuity patients, including ICU-level boarders
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient status using Epic EMR
  • Collaborate with anesthesia providers and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure safe and timely recovery or transition of care

Requirements:

  • Active NY RN License
  • BLS Certification (AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of PACU or critical care experience
  • Experience with high-acuity patients preferred
  • Epic experience preferred
  • BSN not required

Unit Notes:

  • PACU supports ICU-level patients as boarders
  • Patients may remain in PACU beyond standard recovery times due to bed availability
