Travel Radiation Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment in an acute care setting. This is a great opportunity to work with advanced technology while supporting a high-volume radiation therapy department.

Position Details:

• Location: Jackson, MS
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Days, 5x8s
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Unit Overview:

• Unit Type: Radiation Therapy
• Care Setting: Acute Care
• Charting System: EPIC
• Average Patient Volume: 50 patients per day

Responsibilities:

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment
• Monitor patient condition and ensure safety during treatments
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists and care team
• Maintain accurate documentation in ARIA and EPIC systems

Equipment:

• Varian Edge with HyperSight and Identify
• Varian Ethos with Vision RT
• Siemens Go Open Pro Simulator
• Record & Verify System: ARIA

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience
• ARRT (T) Certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience with Varian equipment preferred

Additional Details:

• Schedule typically Monday–Friday between 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (hours may vary based on volume)
• Evening and weekend call required
  • Weekend call rotation: 2 therapists covering weekends, typically 2 consecutive weeks
  • Holiday call rotation in place for fairness
