CT Technologist I - Oklahoma City, OK

Position Overview

This entry-level CT Technologist role involves working under supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services for adult and pediatric patients. The position supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and monitoring of various conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care in diverse settings including inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
  • Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet department and accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform quality control, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment following manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies and improve care.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and reliably report to work.
  • Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
  • Accuracy in record-keeping and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to multi-task, remain calm under stress, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong communication skills with staff, patients, and families in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Core understanding of anatomy, physiology, and specialty-specific technologies and terminology.
  • Ability to apply specialty theory and techniques to perform and document procedures with general supervision.

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program in cardiovascular specialty
    OR
  • Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program in radiologic technology specialty

Preferred Education

  • Associate’s degree or higher

Certifications & Licensure

  • Eligibility for CT Certification (ARRT) to be achieved within 12 months of hire
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
