Job Opportunity: RN Procedural - Electrophysiology Lab

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Specialty: RN Procedural - Electrophysiology Lab
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a specialty area. Core responsibilities include:

  • Managing an assigned group of patients
  • Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
  • Assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary
  • Administering medications and managing IV infusions and blood products
  • Delivering competent patient care and communicating care plans to patients and families
  • Overseeing treatment by technicians or other service providers
  • Referring patient care needs to appropriate personnel
  • Delegating tasks to support staff
  • Performing other assigned duties

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
  • Ability to function independently in the specialty area after orientation
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Strong organizational, planning, coordination, and evaluation skills
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing specialized care
  • Basic computer skills

Education Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher (preferred)

Certifications & Licensure

  • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
