Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department/Trauma is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for primarily adult patients in an inpatient environment. This role requires clinical competence in managing patients specific to the ED/Trauma setting and adherence to the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (minimum)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
Licensure
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License OR a Multi-state Nursing License from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) participating state
Certifications
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Trauma Nurse Course Certification (TNCC)
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Experience
- Clinical competence and experience in care and management of ED/Trauma patient populations
