Job Opportunity: RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. The role includes supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, applying evidence-based practice, and focusing on quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. You will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans while promoting patient comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN also mentors and precepts staff members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments, making sound independent decisions.
- Develop, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
- Provide and evaluate education tailored to patient and family needs during the stay and at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor/preceptor.
- Promote teamwork and communicate opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives and comply with regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience.
- Valid RN license for the state of Kentucky.
