Occupational Therapist

Job Description

• Perform professional Occupational Therapy activities under general supervision, including planning, evaluating, and implementing individual and group treatment activities based on physician direction.
• Interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized evaluation procedures.
• Evaluate patients in areas such as independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and psychosocial skills.
• Develop treatment plans with short- and long-term goals, including frequency and duration of treatment.
• Assist patients by designing and fabricating adaptive equipment and orthotic devices, and instruct on joint protection and body mechanics.
• Inform patients and families about goals and progress.
• Assist with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patients on home therapy plans.
• May supervise students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oklahoma

Licensure

• Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist license appropriate for the state of Oklahoma.
