CT Technologist
Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Friday to Sunday
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Hours per Day: 12 hours
Job Summary
The CT Technologist produces high-quality diagnostic images using imaging and computer equipment, ensuring images meet or exceed department and industry standards. Responsibilities include patient preparation, education, and responding to patient questions or concerns with an age-appropriate approach. The role requires knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control. The technologist also oversees and trains students involved in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify ordered exams and assess appropriateness using patient data and growth/development principles.
- Administer contrast as directed.
- Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images.
- Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine if additional images are needed.
- Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Educate patients and address concerns with sensitivity to age and developmental needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Current ARRT certification in CT (ARRT(CT))
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
