Radiographer I

Location

  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Employment Type

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Overnight shift, 3 nights per week: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Includes 1 shift of call per month
  • Floating to surgery approximately 1 shift per week for emergent cases
  • Primarily working in the department or ER performing portable and room X-rays during other shifts

Job Description

  • Entry-level position working under supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services for adult and pediatric patients
  • Provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics
  • Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical and operational goals
  • Operates specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures
  • Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards
  • Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting
  • Performs quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
  • Participates in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies and improve care

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including recent experience within the last year
  • Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Certifications & Licensure

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
