Location: Edison, New Jersey

Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Summary

Provide and administer all aspects of respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment under medical direction and supervision. Responsibilities include:

• Deliver respiratory therapy for patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
• Assist with intubation and manage ventilator set-up and operation.
• Evaluate patient needs through gathering information, disease education, testing, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, caregivers, and team members to support care goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Physical requirements: lift, push, and pull a minimum of 5 lbs.; stand for at least 1 hour daily.
• Regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
