Registered Nurse - Procedural (Vascular Interventional Radiology)
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Call: Required
Job Summary
Provide nursing care under general supervision in a specialty procedural area including Neuro IR, Vascular IR, and General IR. Responsibilities include patient assessment, assisting physicians with exams and minor procedures, administering medications and IV infusions, monitoring patient physiological data, documenting care, and coordinating with support staff and family.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned group of patients and oversee their care.
- Document patient responses and changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic/treatment procedures.
- Monitor and intervene based on patients’ physiological data.
- Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
- Communicate care plans with patients and families, including at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to technicians and other support personnel.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
