RN Procedural - VIR

Location

• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 4x10 shifts
• Call on nights and weekends, approximately 8–10 shifts per month
• May need to work overtime

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
• ARRT (RT)

Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing excellent specialized care
• May require completion of orientation and ability to function independently in the assigned specialty area prior to being assigned to the position

Role Overview

• Provides nursing care in a specialty area under general supervision
• Responsible for an assigned group of patients
• Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
• Monitors patient data and intervenes when necessary
• Administers medication
• Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interacts with patients and families regarding the care plan and discharge
• Oversees treatment provided by technicians or other service providers
• Informs patients and families of hospital procedures
• Makes referrals regarding patient care needs
• Delegates tasks to support staff
