CT Scan Technologist

Overview

• Performs CT procedures and related imaging techniques to produce sectional and 3D images for interpretation and support interventional and therapeutic procedures.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
• Hours: 40 per week
• Holidays required
• No on-call

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
• CT Technologist (2 years of experience)
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from a Radiologic Technologist program
• GE Equipment experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of CT experience preferred
• Six months of CT experience preferred
• ARRT CT certification preferred
• Knowledge of Epic and HIS/RIS systems
• Maintains CEU credits

Work Expectations

• Performs venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures
• Reviews patient history, contrast questionnaires, and prescriptions for exam appropriateness
• Administers contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
• Obtains outside studies and coordinates them for comparison by radiologists
• Provides patient instructions and addresses questions or concerns
• Monitors patients for adverse reactions during procedures
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs, push/pull 50 lbs, and stand 6 hours per day
