Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Travel)

Location: Hoffman Estates, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment at a healthcare facility in Hoffman Estates, IL.


Required Certifications & Credentials

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Must be AHA certified.
  • Current License: Must have a valid license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
  • Ascension Core Competencies: Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within a year of start and updated yearly (minimum 80% score, max 2 attempts).
  • Ascension Biometric Consent
  • Ascension Non-Nursing Contingent Worker Pre-Hire Modules/Attestation (Illinois)
  • Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation
  • Ascension Badge Photo: Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations.

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • MMR: Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted. If negative titer, two doses of MMR vaccine four weeks apart required.
  • Fit Test: Required for all travelers; preferred prior to start but can be completed onsite. Annual update required.
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
  • Positive PPD / Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire: Must provide positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within a year showing no infection, and completed TB questionnaire. Annual updates required.
  • 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): First PPD within 1 year, second within 30 days of start, or negative IGRA within 90 days prior to start. Annual updates required.
  • Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history; no declinations accepted.
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
  • Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.

Professional & Compliance Requirements

  • Driver's License/State ID: Must be current, match address on file, and comply with compact license rules if applicable.
  • Ascension Profile: Resume or professional profile required.
  • Professional References: At least two qualifying references completed prior to first assignment.
  • Criminal Background Check: Includes Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender check; completed within 30 days of first assignment and updated annually or after breaks in service.
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System): Run within 90 days of start; rerun if break in service > 90 days.
  • Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually.
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start; includes testing for 12 specified substances with MRO review if applicable. Annual updates or retesting after breaks in service required.
  • Education Verification: Verification of relevant education within 90 days of start; rerun if break in service > 90 days. Official transcripts required if verification fails.
  • Confirmation of Assignment: Provided upon initial assignment and updated with extensions.
  • Employment Verification: Third-party verification for past seven years; updated annually or after breaks in service.

Optional / Additional Information

  • Some onboarding forms and evaluations are completed onsite or post-assignment.
  • Legal documentation for name changes may be required if applicable.

This position requires thorough compliance with healthcare regulations, immunization standards, and professional credentialing to ensure patient safety and quality care delivery.
