Job Description

• Position in the mother/baby unit providing postpartum nursing care.

Required Experience

• Ascension EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) Check (Within 90 days of start)
• Ascension Employment Verification (Past 7 years, updated annually)

• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (Completed onsite)

• Driver's License/State ID (Valid, must match address requirements)

Required Immunizations & Health Requirements

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted.
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
• Positive PPD / Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire: Proof of TB status required; updated annually.
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Required within specified timeframes.
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted.
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
• Fit Test: Required annually; preferred prior to start.

Additional Notes

• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• FACIS Questionnaire required if any disciplinary actions exist.
