Job Opportunity: RN ICU (LTA)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Description

  • Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) schedule.
  • Preferred experience in CVICU and Neuro ICU, but not required.
  • Will float to Neuro ICU and Burn ICU; patient assignments will be within skill set.
  • May be assigned patients in Med/Surg/IMC if needed.
  • Must be willing to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.

Required Experience

  • Influenza Vaccine (seasonal; exemptions accepted with mask requirement).
  • Positive PPD or IGRA with negative chest X-ray within one year and annual TB questionnaire.
  • Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing within 30 days of start.
  • Varicella: Proof of immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted).
  • Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years, no declinations accepted).
  • Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually).

Required Onboarding & Documentation

  • Signed Assignment Agreement.
  • Ascension Resume/Profile.
  • Ascension 2 Professional References (at least two).
  • Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (within 30 days of first assignment, updated annually).
  • EPLS check (within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days).
  • Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical, completed within one year of start, updated annually).
  • Ascension Education Verification (within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days).
  • Ascension Confirmation of Assignment (updated with each extension).
  • Ascension Employment Verification (past 7 years, updated annually).
  • Ascension Badge Photo (headshot with white or blue background, no filters).
  • Various Ascension-specific onboarding modules and attestations (including Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding, Core Competencies, Epic Test-Out, Nova StatStrip, and others).

Additional Notes

  • Must be flexible to float between units and potentially to other nearby sites within 40 miles.
  • Patient assignments will be within the nurse’s skill set.
  • This is a Long-Term Assignment (LTA).
