Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technologist (Travel)

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a high acuity Cath Lab environment including:

  • RHC, RHC with EMBX
  • Heart Failure cases
  • Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
  • Some peripheral and pulmonary embolism procedures
  • Structural heart procedures including TAVRs, Clips, etc.
  • Use of IABP and Impella devices

Required Qualifications

• License: Current and valid license for Cath Lab Technologist in Texas (must be verified within 30 days prior to assignment start)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association) required
• Exams & Competencies:

  • Ascension Specialty Exam (minimum 80% passing score, max 2 attempts)
  • Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics; minimum 80% passing score)
  • Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical competency, updated annually)
• Health & Immunizations:

  • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
  • TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
  • Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccines (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Fit Test: Required annually (preferred prior to start)
• Background & Verification:

  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (within 30 days of assignment start)
  • Employment verification for past 7 years
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start)
  • Professional references: At least two required prior to first assignment
• Drug Screening:

  • 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, including MRO review for prescriptions or negative-dilute results
• Other:

  • Driver’s License or State ID (must be current and valid)
  • Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
