Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Schedule: Every other weekend, no on-call required
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner OneChart
Uniform: Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, with recent experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Signed assignment agreement and confirmation documents
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics with minimum passing score of 80%
• Passing score on Cerner test-out and EKG exam (minimum 80%, two attempts allowed)
• Completion of unit-specific checklist (optional but recommended)
• Completion of pre-hire modules and onboarding education attestations
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Criminal background check including Social Security trace, OIG search, and National Sex Offender registry
• Employment and education verifications within 90 days of start
• Health and immunization requirements including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (two vaccines or immunity evidence, no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal, exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA with annual questionnaire; chest x-ray if positive
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start, can be onsite)
  • Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Driver’s license or state ID matching address requirements

Additional Notes

• All credentials and verifications must be current and compliant within specified timeframes prior to assignment start
• Some documents and attestations must be uploaded or completed onsite as part of the onboarding process
• Professional references (minimum two) required prior to first assignment
• Badge photo required (front-facing, white or blue background, no filters)
