Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a medical/surgical unit with telemetry monitoring (read telemetry).
• Must have at least 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.
• Must be willing to float within skill set to other units or sites within 40 miles if needed.
• Nail policy: No artificial or acrylic nails; natural nails must be short (less than 1/4 inch).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Telemetry experience.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Proof of immunizations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine (flu season Oct 1 - Mar 31; exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Varicella immunity (two vaccines, serological evidence, or history verified by provider; no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test, chest x-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire.
• Fit test for respiratory protection (3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+), updated annually.
• Annual physical exam or statement of good health prior to assignment start and updated annually.
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.

Documentation and Onboarding Requirements

• Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references.
• Current license verification and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Criminal background check including social security trace, OIG search, and national sex offender registry.
• Employment verification for the past seven years.
• Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation.
• Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no filters).
• Completion of specialty exam, core competencies, EKG exam, color vision test, and skills checklist prior to or shortly after start, with periodic updates as required.
• Completion of onboarding education and pre-hire modules specific to nursing contingent workers.
• Epic test-out results and training checklist with signed attestation.

Additional Notes

• Must comply with nail policy and be flexible to float to other units or nearby sites as needed.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
