Job Opportunity: RN CVOR

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week with a set day off
• Call: Based on department needs; currently 2-3 weekdays per week, including rotating weekends and holidays
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience
• Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
  • Prior travel experience required
  • May need to float onsite within skill set or to other nearby sites within 40 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

Candidates must complete and maintain the following prior to and during assignment:

• Professional documentation including resume/profile and at least two professional references
• Criminal background check and employment verifications covering the past seven years
• Various specialty and core competency exams with minimum passing scores (including specialty exam, EKG exam, Epic test-out, and skills checklist)
• Health and immunization documentation including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (two vaccines or immunity evidence)
  • Tdap (valid within 10 years)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine (optional, with mask requirement if declined during flu season)
  • Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest X-ray if positive)
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (annual)
  • Health statement or physical exam updated annually
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Valid driver's license or state ID matching address on file

Additional Notes

• Floating to other sites within a 40-mile radius may be required based on operational needs
• Call schedule includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
• All certifications and verifications must be current and compliant with facility policies

This position is ideal for experienced CVOR RNs with prior travel experience seeking a long-term assignment in Wisconsin.
