Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: At least every other weekend required, no on-call duties

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Completion of MOAB Moderate Risk De-Escalation Training
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding & Competency Requirements

• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with a minimum passing score of 80% (maximum two attempts)
• Passing score of at least 80% on the Ascension EKG exam, updated every 3 years
• Completion of Cerner test-out and training checklist with signed attestation
• Completion of MOAB Moderate Risk De-Escalation Training
• Ascension-specific onboarding modules and attestations, including education attestation and contract worker onboarding
• Skills checklist for specialty to be completed within one year of start and updated annually
• Pre-hire modules including Nova StatStrip training for non-allied positions
• Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations)

Additional Requirements

• Valid, unexpired Driver’s License or State ID matching address on file
• Resume/profile and at least two professional references required prior to first assignment
• Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation required for onboarding
• Employment verification and education verification must be current and updated if break in service exceeds 90 days
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position

Summary

This is a 13-week long-term assignment for an experienced Medical/Surgical RN working night shifts in Wichita, Kansas. The role requires comprehensive credentialing, immunizations, and competency validations prior to and during the assignment. The schedule includes every other weekend coverage with no on-call responsibilities.
