Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM (12.5 hours)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW), Every Other Holiday (EOH); block scheduling not allowed

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a larger Emergency Department or critical care setting.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience or critical care experience.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Must be proficient with EPIC electronic health record system.
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other nearby sites within 40 miles as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Onboarding Requirements

• Completion of onboarding modules and attestations including:

  • Nursing contingent worker onboarding.
  • Specialty and core competency exams.
  • Epic test-out and training checklist with signed attestation.
  • Color vision test.
  • Skills checklist updated annually.
  • Various required professional and personal health documentation uploaded as per policy.

• This position requires flexibility to float to other units or nearby facilities within a 40-mile radius.
• Block scheduling is not permitted.
• Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.
