Description
Neonatal Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Summary
- Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, specializing in neonatal care.
- Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment type and frequency; develop and implement care plans.
- Monitor patient condition and respiratory equipment; perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Evaluate respiratory practices and medication administration based on patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and available community support programs.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credential
- Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree, or a Technical degree
- Current Driver’s License
Required Onboarding & Compliance Documentation
- Professional: Resume/Profile, two professional references, signed assignment agreement, badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background), criminal background check, employment verification (past 7 years), education verification, skills checklist, core competencies, confirmation of assignment, EPLS check, and onboarding education attestation.
- Personal Health History: Proof of MMR (two vaccines or positive titer), Varicella immunity or vaccination, Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination, Tdap vaccination within 10 years, annual health statement or physical exam, fit test (preferred before start, can be onsite), 2-step PPD or IGRA testing with TB questionnaire, 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Driver’s license or state ID (must be current and match address requirements).
Additional Information
- Must be able to work night shifts (7 PM to 7:30 AM).
- Respond to emergency resuscitation codes as part of the role.
- Contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
