Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Mequon, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Work Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW), Every Other Holiday (EOH)
• May include caring for boarded patients in the Emergency Department (ED)
• Use of EPIC electronic health record system required
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles as needed

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• Prior travel experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) training
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Prior travel nursing experience

Onboarding Requirements

• Completion of required onboarding education and attestations prior to or at start
• Submission of a forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations)
• Completion of health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within one year and updated every 3 years
• Annual updates of specialty exams, skills checklists, and required certifications

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work flexible assignments including floating to other nearby sites as needed
• All certifications must be from recognized organizations (e.g., American Heart Association)
• Only two attempts allowed for specialty exams and EPIC test-out with minimum passing scores of 80% or national benchmark
• Documentation must be current and verifiable according to specified timelines
