Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Dayshift
Location: Carmel, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Dayshift, 06:00 AM – 06:30 PM

Job Description
- Provide high-quality cardiopulmonary care including respiratory therapy treatments and management of life support systems.
- Respond to emergencies in a fast-paced environment.
- Mandatory shift coverage on July 4th to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP Advanced) certification
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Submission of a professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment.
- Valid, unexpired driver’s license or state ID matching address requirements.
- Completion of background checks including criminal history and employment verification.
- Completion of core competencies related to HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and specialty-specific skills.
- Health and immunization documentation including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
- Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (mask required if declined)
- Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA with annual updates; chest x-ray if positive)
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be done onsite)
- Health statement or physical exam prior to assignment and annually thereafter
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Completion of onboarding education attestation and skills checklist relevant to respiratory therapy.
Additional Notes
- The position requires flexibility to work a holiday shift.
- The role involves direct patient care in a hospital setting with a focus on cardiopulmonary support.
- All certifications must be current and compliant with American Heart Association standards where applicable.
