Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

• Work on an Acuity Adaptable Unit (not a pure ICU unit)
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH) schedule
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed
• Prior travel experience is required

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Emergency Pediatric Life Support (EPLS) certification

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

• MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza vaccine documentation
• Fit Test
• Health Statement
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA and TB Questionnaire
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen
• Ascension Criminal Background Check (including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, 7-year county and employment search) updated annually or after break in service >90 days
• Ascension EPLS check updated within 90 days of start
• Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical, updated annually)
• Ascension Education Verification (within 90 days of start)
• Ascension Confirmation of Assignment (initial and updates upon extension)
• Ascension Employment Verification (past 7 years, updated annually or after break in service >90 days)

Additional Notes

• Floating to other units or sites within 40 miles may be required based on staffing needs
• All exams and competencies require a minimum passing score of 80% with only two attempts allowed
• Some optional documents may be requested post-assignment or for internal use only

This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs with prior travel experience who are comfortable working in an adaptable acuity environment and meeting comprehensive credentialing and onboarding requirements.
