- Certified Surgical Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- NBSTSA
- Driver's License
Health Requirements
- MMR immunization or titer
- Hepatitis B immunization or titer
- Varicella immunization or titer
- 2-step PPD or IGRA
- Fit test
- Influenza vaccine
- Annual negative PPD
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray
Role Overview
- Works under surgeon supervision to support safe surgical procedures
- Prepares operating rooms, supplies, and equipment
- Maintains sterile technique and sterile field
- Assists with patient positioning, prepping, draping, and time-out verification
- Performs instrument, sharps, and sponge counts
- Handles specimens and terminal cleaning/sterilization tasks
- Uses standard precautions and PPE when handling hazardous substances
Work Expectations
- Flexible, punctual, and willing to learn
- Maintains a professional image and strong customer relations
- Must be able to perform assigned duties in the operating room environment
