Required Qualifications

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
  • NBSTSA
  • Driver's License

Health Requirements

  • MMR immunization or titer
  • Hepatitis B immunization or titer
  • Varicella immunization or titer
  • 2-step PPD or IGRA
  • Fit test
  • Influenza vaccine
  • Annual negative PPD
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray

Role Overview

  • Works under surgeon supervision to support safe surgical procedures
  • Prepares operating rooms, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintains sterile technique and sterile field
  • Assists with patient positioning, prepping, draping, and time-out verification
  • Performs instrument, sharps, and sponge counts
  • Handles specimens and terminal cleaning/sterilization tasks
  • Uses standard precautions and PPE when handling hazardous substances
