Job Description

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in telemedicine within a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) outpatient practice.
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, onsite at the office.
• Department: Multi-specialty including Allergy, Nephrology, Neurology, Pain Management, Pulmonology, EMG testing, and Urology.
• Patient Interaction: Patients are seen via nurse-assisted virtual visits or in person.
• Preferred Experience: Primary Care and EPIC electronic health record system experience.

Housing & Transportation

• Shared housing provided (no guests or pets allowed).
• Personal car required.
• Must obtain current flu vaccine.

Required Credentials & Compliance

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid professional nursing license with primary source verification (NURSYS and Board of Nursing required).
• BLS certification (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted).

Health & Immunizations

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed.
• Documentation of MMR immunity (vaccines or blood test).
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test).
• Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 1 year.
• Fit test for N95 respirator within 1 year, updated annually (no religious exemptions).
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required.
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred.
• Tdap vaccine preferred within last 10 years.

Background & Verification

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including county and international searches if applicable.
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start.
• Social Security Number trace for past 7 years.
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually.
• Education verification of highest degree achieved.
• Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor).
• Skills checklist required for submission.
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.

Additional Notes

• Must sign MGB MVH Housing Agreement if moving into shared housing.
• Assignment confirmation form required upon acceptance and for any start date changes.
• No onsite fit testing available; must be completed prior to start (exceptions for extensions on the island).
